1. How to use Graphics and Charts
Charts and graphs:
When you create a chart by going to the Insert Menu and then clicking Insert Chart Power Point goes to a program called Microsoft Graph which displays a chart and an associated dataheet. The dataheet provides sample information that shows where to type your own row and column labels and data. you can select the kind of chart you want (pie, bar, lime, combination) by going to the Chart menu and selecting Chat Type. Follow through to select the type of chart you wish to create and the other options provides. After you create a chart, you can enter your own data datasheet, import data from a text file or Lotus 1-2-3 file, import a Microsoft Excel worksheet or chart, or copy data from another program. Note Power Point also comes with a program that creates organization charts.
2. How to Running Presentation
Running a slide show
There are at least three ways to start a slide show:
select view menu < slide show
a ) click the projector button on the lower left part of the screen
NOTE: clicking the projector button is the ONLY ways to start the slide show a slide other than the title slide. All other methods start the presentation always from the first slide.
b ) Hit F5 key
of these methods, the best is the last one. it is generally recommended that you use the keyboard shortcuts instead of the mouse to navigate through the show while you present, the reason being that this method is faster and make a better impression to your audience.
for this reasons, even though you can use the mouse to access the show controls menu (the show controls button appears on the lower left corner of the screen when you move the mouse while in slide show mode -- see image below), it is best to use the following keyboard shortcuts:
- Go to the next slide: press the slide: press the SPACE BAR, ENTER, PAGE DOWN, or right arrow key.
- Go to the previous slide: press BACKSPACE, PAGE UP, or the left arrow key.
- Exit slide show (at anything): hit ESC
- Access the pen tool (in order to draw in the screen): CTRL + P
- Erase pen : hit E
- Hide pointer: hit A
